VALIDATING VACCINES RECEIVED ABROAD IN UKRAINE

Will vaccines received outside of Ukraine be recognized upon return home? The answer is yes, they will.

How to Get Vaccinations Received Outside Ukraine Recognised Once You Return to Ukraine

You need a certificate. The certificate must contain the following information:

  • The name of the vaccine.
  •
  • Vaccination date.
  •
  • Vaccine manufacturer, dose and series.
  •
  • The validity period of the vaccination certificate.

  • The doctor or other authorized health worker who administrate the vaccine must put their own signature and the seal of the medical institution opposite the vaccination information.

The vaccination certificate must be completed in English or French, and may also be supplemented by another language.

When you arrive in Ukraine, present the certificate obtained abroad to the family doctor or paediatrician. The doctor will enter the information into the electronic health care system (EHS).

According to the International Health Regulations, people who receive vaccinations recognized by the World Health Organization should be issued an international certificate of vaccination in a specified form.
